Nationwide Cucumber Recall Due to Salmonella Risk
Fresh Start Produce has recalled fresh cucumbers sold in 14 states due to potential salmonella contamination. The recall affects cucumbers shipped between May 17 and May 21, excluding mini and English cucumbers. The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture found a positive salmonella sample, prompting the recall. The FDA is conducting further tests. Consumers are advised to discard or return the cucumbers and seek medical attention if they experience severe symptoms of salmonella infection.
