Lawsuit alleges KRSM stole nearly $4M in fuel from Mansfield Oil tied to discount stations
Mansfield Oil has sued KRSM Inc and its president Syed Kazmi, claiming KRSM took about 1.1 million gallons of fuel valued at nearly $4 million between May 21 and July 7 without paying, with some fuel allegedly sold to stations in the Freedom Fuel Network. KRSM disputes the allegations, citing invoicing mispricing and promising payment; Mansfield says payment drafts were rejected after attempts to collect. Freedom Fuel Network is a private 29-location chain in PA/NJ and the White House says it had no dealings with KRSM or Kazmi. The case comes as gas prices have risen above $4 per gallon in August, per AAA, and as Trump's promotion of the discount network is noted in the coverage.
