Apple finally enables cross-platform, full-quality photo sharing between iPhone and Android
Apple announced at WWDC26 that iCloud Shared Albums will support cross-platform sharing with full-resolution photos this fall, letting non‑iPhone users view and contribute directly. It closes a long-standing gap with Google Photos and, while not yet parity in all aspects, it signals a more open approach to photo sharing across ecosystems.
