Gabe Reilly, a 27-year-old Salt Lake City firefighter, died on Sunday after his wingsuit failed during a BASE jump in Cache County. Authorities confirmed he fell from a 700-foot perch near Leetham's Hollow, impacting the ground at high speed. Reilly was part of a group of eight to ten experienced jumpers. This is the 15th global BASE fatality recorded in 2026.
