Gallagher Expands with $13.5B AssuredPartners Acquisition

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. is set to acquire AssuredPartners Inc. for $13.45 billion, adding $2.9 billion in annual revenue and 10,900 staff, solidifying its position as the third-largest insurance brokerage globally. The acquisition, expected to close in early 2025, will enable Gallagher to expand its presence in the U.S. middle market and increase its acquisition capacity. The deal is funded partly by an $8.5 billion stock offering and is priced at a 14.3 times EBITDAC multiple, considered well-priced compared to similar large deals.
