GDC Festival of Gaming 2026 attracted 20,000 attendees, a 30% drop and the lowest turnout since 2011, attributed to high attendance costs and concerns over US immigration policies among international visitors. Despite the decline, the rebranded event hosted over 700 sessions, 1,100 speakers and 300 exhibitors and will return in 2027.
