Family Questions Preventability as Georgia Probes Fatal Six Flags Ejection
Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem, a 42-year-old Atlanta educator, died after being ejected from the Goliath rollercoaster at Six Flags Over Georgia on October 12. His niece, who witnessed the fall, reported that he passed out before the restraint failed. While the park reopened on October 16, the Goliath remains closed indefinitely as state and local authorities investigate whether the death was preventable. Kariem had passed his last annual safety inspection in March with zero violations.
