Goliath Coaster Ejection Kills Atlanta Educator; Inspection Records Reveal Worn Bushings
Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem, a 42-year-old Atlanta educator, died after being ejected from the Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia on Monday. His niece, who sat beside him, witnessed the restraint fail as the ride ascended. State inspectors found no violations in March but noted worn bushings. Six Flags has closed similar rides nationwide amid a broader investigation into maintenance practices.
