
Japanese Father Arrested After Throwing Two Daughters from Sixth-Floor Balcony
A 25-year-old Japanese man was arrested on September 26, 2026, for allegedly throwing his two young daughters from a sixth-floor balcony in Kakamigahara, Gifu Prefecture. Police responded to an emergency call from the suspect’s wife, who reported violent behavior. Officers placed safety mats beneath the balcony before storming the apartment. Both children, aged 4 and 1, survived the fall and were hospitalized in stable condition. The suspect, identified as Tomokazu Miura, was charged with attempted murder and has remained silent during questioning.
