Google Fitbit Edge Launches as $179 Mid-Tier Tracker with Replaceable Battery
Google has officially launched the Fitbit Edge, a new mid-tier fitness tracker priced at $179.99, positioned between the screenless Fitbit Air and the premium Pixel Watch 5. Announced on October 12, 2026, the device features a 1.34-inch OLED display, built-in GPS, and up to seven days of battery life. It is the first Fitbit tracker to include a user-replaceable battery, a move aligned with new European Union regulations and Google’s broader repairability initiatives. The Edge supports both Android and iOS devices via the Google Health app and includes advanced health sensors for tracking blood pressure and insulin resistance trends. Pre-orders are available now, with general retail sales beginning on October 27.
