Velasquez Celebrates Freedom with Thank-You Message After Parole
Cain Velasquez posted an Instagram video four weeks after his prison release, thanking fans and saying he’s adjusting to life as a free man while focusing on family and a slower pace. He was sentenced in March 2025 for shooting at a daycare worker linked to his son’s case and was released on parole after serving more than 1,000 days. Goularte, the daycare worker, faces a felony charge of lewd acts with a minor and awaits trial in the case.
