Texas Center Gears Lexus Dealers Up for Toyota's GR GT Supercar
Toyota has quietly built a 36,000-square-foot GR Experience Center in Frisco, Texas to train Lexus dealers to sell and drive its upcoming GR GT supercar, a 641-hp twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor, expected in the U.S. in 2027 and priced above $200,000. The facility houses racing memorabilia and a driving-focused showroom, with a separate GR Academy planned at Eagles Canyon Raceway to showcase GR performance on track. Over 100 Lexus dealers have already signed on to carry the new GR lineup, signaling a shift in Toyota's strategy for its high-performance brand.
