From a closet to a kids' animation empire sparked by our daughter
During the pandemic, Javoris and Arlene Hollingsworth started Gracie's Corner with their daughter Graceyn in a closet; after a viral video in 2022, Javoris left his tenured professorship to work on the show full-time, expanding into a recording studio and office, reinvesting to grow an animation empire and earning a NAACP Image Award nomination while hoping to create Sesame Street 2.0 that can be passed down to their kids.
