Kotaku notes that Halo: Campaign Evolved and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 have received visual upgrades via the Switch 2 upgrade, with Halo charging $20 for early access and Xenoblade 2 offering a $10 60fps mode, while also detailing this week’s notable game releases (July 27–31, 2026) across multiple platforms.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced arrives July 9 with a major graphics overhaul, including ray-traced global illumination, dynamic weather, revamped character models, and continuous geometry refinement. The PS5 Pro targets upscaled 2160p across modes with 30–60 fps and extended ray tracing. Ubisoft also shared regional launch times and a comparison video showing how the remake looks beside the 2014 original, along with various improvements and a few new issues.

A digital artist has created a stunning graphics overhaul for Cyberpunk 2077, utilizing over 300 mods, 4K resolution, 170FPS, and full pathtracing, making the game look more realistic than ever, but requiring a high-end PC with an RTX 5090 to run smoothly.
NVIDIA has showcased a demo of Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode running on a 40 Series with DLSS 3. The new upgrade, which arrives on April 11, features path tracing, an advanced, GPU-intensive form of ray tracing that accurately simulates light throughout the entire scene. The demo shows the difference between RTX being on and off with this system in the environments shown, and how framerates can be boosted by as much as 4-5x with DLSS 3. This is the third or fourth visual upgrade for Cyberpunk 2077 since launch, and a great demo for the NVIDIA tech.
