GRMN Corolla Debuts as Nürburgring-Honed, Weight-Reduced Track Beast

GAZOO Racing today unveiled the GRMN Corolla, a race-tuned evolution of the GR Corolla designed for Nürburgring-level performance. Highlights include 415 Nm of torque, about 30 kg lighter weight, exclusive aero parts and a Nürburgring-tuned suspension, 4WD with optimized rear torque, and a cockpit featuring a full bucket seat and carbon details. A 2-seat GRMN Corolla and a 5-seat MORIZO RR concept with GR Direct Automatic Transmission are in development. Production will be limited and lead markets are Japan, North America, and Australia, with sales in Japan via the GR app planned for autumn 2026 and deliveries in 2027. The car’s development drew on Super Taikyu racing and Nürburgring testing, and a GR Corolla MORIZO RR concept is on display at Fuji Motorsports Forest until June 28.

Toyota's 2026 GRMN Corolla: Nürburgring-Tuned Track Monster

Toyota Gazoo Racing unveils the 2026 GRMN Corolla, a track-focused evolution of the GR Corolla developed through Super Taikyu racing and Nürburgring testing. It increases engine torque to 302 lb-ft from a 1.6L turbo three-cylinder producing 300 hp, sheds about 66 lb for a curb weight of roughly 3,219 lb, and adds aero, suspension, and AWD tuning for heightened handling. The car features exclusive aero parts, carbon-fiber components, a race-inspired cockpit with dedicated seats, a five-position rear wing, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and a lightweight 2-seat interior. Production is at Motomachi for North America, Japan and Australia; full specs and price to be announced.
