Subaru recalls 541k vehicles over incorrect axle weight labels
Subaru is recalling 541,237 vehicles due to incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating labels on the certification sticker, potentially allowing overloading and increasing crash risk. Affected models include 2019–2026 Ascent, 2025–2026 Forester and Forester Hybrid, and 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid. Subaru will mail new certification labels or install them at dealerships at no charge, with owner letters expected in late August and a later remedy notice to follow.
