GTA V Free Next-Gen Upgrades Span PS, Xbox, and PC Enhanced Edition
Rockstar says starting June 18, GTA V on PS4 or the digital Xbox One edition can upgrade to the PS5/Xbox Series X/S version for free, with save data and Online progress transferable; PC players can upgrade to the Enhanced Edition for free, which includes PC-exclusive features like ray-traced ambient occlusion and global illumination, in addition to the console upgrades. Some view this as a sign GTA Online may eventually end on older consoles, even as GTA VI's November 19 release remains on track and its marketing ramps up.
