Beagle’s gummy-worm binge lands vet visit in Australia
A three-year-old beagle named Scooter in Australia was rushed to Animal Emergency Service after scarfing about 2.4 pounds of gummy worms. The pup, who had a sister that also ate candy, was treated with vomiting-inducing meds and expelled most of the treats. While the gummy brand lacked xylitol, vets warned gummies can still cause severe GI upset in dogs, underscoring the dangers of letting pets raid candy stashes.
