Patrick Clanton will assume the role of Harold Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The Musical from May 2–17, while Megan Thee Stallion wraps up her run tonight; Eric Anderson returns May 19. Clanton, making his Broadway debut, has prior credits on national tours and TV. The production has been extended by five weeks and will close on August 30.

Megan Thee Stallion will make her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, playing a gender-flipped Harold Zidler at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre for eight weeks (Mar 24–May 17). This marks the first time a female-identifying performer portrays Zidler in any Moulin Rouge production. Despite strong attendance, the show is expensive to mount and will close on July 26 after seven years on Broadway, with producers hinting Megan’s songs will be incorporated into the jukebox score.
Boy George, lead singer of Culture Club, will return to Broadway after 20 years to play the role of Harold Zidler in the hit musical Moulin Rouge! The Musical. He will perform at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre from February 6 to May 12, 2024. The Zidler character is the owner of the Moulin Rouge! nightclub and serves as a de facto emcee in the show. Boy George was last on Broadway in the musical Taboo, which he wrote and starred in. Moulin Rouge! features a variety of pop music hits and won ten Tony Awards in 2021.
