Samsung Electronics announced an exclusive partnership with Activision to become the official TV, monitor, soundbar, and Wi‑Fi speaker partner for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, integrating HDR10+ GAMING and 32:9 ultrawide support on Odyssey monitors, plus Samsung Gaming Hub streaming, beta access codes, and a Gamescom 2026 presence ahead of the October 23 release.
Samsung becomes the official partner for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, enabling HDR10+ Gaming and 32:9 ultrawide support on Odyssey G9 monitors, while distributing early access codes for Aug 21–25 before the Aug 28–Sep 1 open beta. A hands-on Vault Edition experience will also be offered at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne with select attendees receiving Battle.net codes.
At GDC 2026, Samsung announced the Odyssey 3D Hub glasses-free 3D monitor platform will reach about 120 playable titles by year-end (roughly doubling today’s ~60). The lineup already includes Cronos: The New Dawn, Hell is Us, Stellar Blade, Lies of P and Psychonauts 2, with more releases planned. Samsung also teased HDR10+ Gaming integration with CD Projekt Red for Cyberpunk 2077, and its displays use head-tracking to maintain the 3D sweet spot across models up to 32 inches.
Samsung has partnered with NEXON to develop 'The First Descendent', the world's first game to use the HDR10+ GAMING format. The game will be unveiled at Gamescom 2023 and offers gamers a more immersive experience with deeper contrast, rich colors, and balanced brightness. HDR10+ GAMING also provides near-instant responses, low latency, and variable refresh rate support. The open beta test for 'The First Descendent' will begin on September 19, except for gamers from China.
