Head Trip Festival Canceled Saturday Night as Lightning Threats Force Evacuation
The Head Trip music festival in Indio, California, was canceled on Saturday night due to severe weather threats. Organizers suspended performances around 9:30 p.m. after the National Weather Service issued warnings for cloud-to-ground lightning. The event, promoted by Goldenvoice, had already adjusted its schedule earlier in the day due to incoming storms linked to Tropical Storm Rachel.
