The inaugural Ocean Way music festival in Santa Monica was canceled two weeks before its Sept. 26–27 debut due to Hurricane Marie causing beach erosion and unsafe conditions, with the city and promoter Goldenvoice refunding tickets and planning to bring the festival back in 2027; headliners included the Killers and Olivia Dean, with other acts such as Khruangbin, Sublime, and Jack White.
Goldenvoice, the organizers of Coachella, were fined $51,000 for going past curfew on two nights of Weekend 2 of the festival. The closing acts on Friday and Sunday went over the contracted time resulting in fines of $20,000 and $31,000 respectively. The headliners for those nights were Bad Bunny, Calvin Harris, and Skrillex. Goldenvoice was fined $117,000 for going over curfew all three nights of Weekend 1. Frank Ocean went over his curfew during Weekend 1 and pulled out of Weekend 2 due to injury.
