Steelers finalize 53-man roster with Heidenreich, Rubio and Jobity Jr.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the Steelers plan to carry running back Eli Heidenreich (Navy, 7th-round) and defensive tackles Gabriel Rubio (Notre Dame) and Kevin Jobity Jr. (Syracuse) on their 53-man roster. Heidenreich, a Mt. Lebanon High School alum, posted 1,440 yards and nine touchdowns in his senior season at Navy and impressed in the preseason, including a rushing TD in the finale. Rubio stood out as a run-stuffing DT for Notre Dame in 2025 and was the 210th overall pick, while Jobity Jr. played four years at Syracuse, starting as a DT in 2025 and finishing with five sacks and six tackles for loss.
