LA crackdown nets 10 in Hoover gang sex-trafficking operation along the Figueroa corridor
Ten people linked to a South LA–based Hoover gang were arrested on charges they ran a sex-trafficking ring that targeted about 51 underage girls and women along the Figueroa corridor from February 2021 to June 2026. Defendants include Cameron Lockett, accused of beating a victim, and Caleed Mouton, who arranged an abortion and forced sex work, plus Mukeshkumar Ahir, allegedly profiting from the operation. If convicted, they face 15 years to life. The arrests follow prior indictments of 11 Hoover-affiliated individuals; officials say the effort aims to dismantle a long-running trafficking corridor, amid context of LAPD budget cuts and a loitering-law repeal that affected enforcement.
