Georgia lands Yamaha’s U.S. HQ as California exit accelerates
Yamaha Motor Co. will relocate its U.S. headquarters from Cypress, California to Kennesaw, Georgia, with the move starting in late 2026 and wrapping by the end of 2028. The decision is part of a broader restructuring to improve profitability amid tariff-driven costs and a shifting U.S. market. Georgia already hosts Yamaha’s marine and motorsports operations and employs more than 2,300 people in the state, mostly at its Newnan factory.
