Affluent Americans Raise Retirement Target to $2.6M, Yet Save Only Half
A new survey indicates that wealthy Americans now estimate they need $2.6 million to retire comfortably, a 26% increase from last year. Despite this higher target, affluent investors have saved only 52% of that amount on average. The rising cost is attributed to inflation, longer life expectancies, and shifting priorities that include career reinvention and supporting aging parents, not just traditional retirement income.
