
SunZia’s Giant Wind Link Goes Live, Powering About a Million Homes
Electrek reports that SunZia Transmission, a 550-mile HVDC line, is now online, moving up to 3,000 MW of wind power from New Mexico to the Southwest and providing enough electricity for roughly 1 million homes; the project aims to cut about 9 million metric tons of CO2 in its first year and enhances grid resilience and efficiency for the Western grid.
