Lockheed Martin Launches PAC-3 Edge to Counter Hypersonic Threats
Lockheed Martin has unveiled the PAC-3 Edge, a new missile interceptor designed to counter hypersonic and advanced threats. The system features a new seeker, upgraded flight controls, and a multi-pulse rocket motor from Northrop Grumman. It is priced similarly to the existing PAC-3 MSE and aims to increase annual production to 2,000 units, addressing strained U.S. stockpiles from conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.
