Concrete Doc by John Wilson Debuts with Record IFC Center Weekend
John Wilson's The History of Concrete opened at IFC Center with a record $90,000 three-day debut, the top documentary opening in the theater's 21-year history after Parasite, fueled by pre-sales around $60,000. The film will expand to about 40 screens in 15 markets next week and to 50 markets after Oct. 2 as Magnolia Pictures capitalizes on strong indie demand.
