PM Modi led the 12th International Day of Yoga from Kolkata's Red Road, a historic thoroughfare that served as a WWII airstrip for Allied fighters; the road—once known as Secretary's Walk and later renamed Indira Gandhi Sarani in 1985—has long been Kolkata’s ceremonial spine, now hosting the Yoga Day celebrations with this year’s theme, Yoga for Healthy Ageing.
