Stenberg Tops International Skaters as 2026 NHL Draft Nears
Ivar Stenberg of Frolunda in the SHL is No. 1 among NHL Central Scouting’s final ranking of international skaters for the 2026 draft, after posting 33 points in 43 games and helping Sweden win gold at the World Junior Championship. The top five international skaters also include Alberts Smits, Oliver Suvanto, Viggo Bjorck and Elton Hermansson, with Dmitri Borichev leading the international goalies. The draft will be held June 26-27 in Buffalo, with the first-pick lottery on May 5.
