Rising RAM and semiconductor costs push Oppo, OnePlus, Vivo, and iQoo to raise prices on several smartphones in China, effective March 18, with potential global ripple effects though no international price hikes announced yet.
iQOO is set to launch its 12 series, becoming one of the first to release a flagship Android smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The new handsets will feature premium-tier design upgrades, including a diamond-cut bevelled edge camera hump and a "100X Tele Lens" zoom lens. The series will also introduce a "1.5K direct gaming screen" with a co-processor to interpolate frame rates and achieve 144fps in compatible games. The iQOO 12 series is scheduled to launch on November 7, 2023, in China, with a potential international release to follow.
MediaTek has announced the launch date of its latest flagship-grade mobile SoC, the Dimensity 9200 Plus, on May 10, 2023. The processor is rumored to be more powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, with unprecedented single-core scores on Geekbench. The world's first Dimensity 9200 Plus-powered device may be the iQOO Neo8 Pro, which is expected to launch globally.
