Two Biden Judicial Picks Withdraw from Consideration in One Month
Jabari Wamble, a federal prosecutor and President Joe Biden's judicial nominee for a district court seat in Kansas, has withdrawn his name from consideration. This is the second such withdrawal this month, following Michael Delaney's withdrawal as an appellate court nominee. Wamble's withdrawal comes amid concerns that the American Bar Association would rate him "not qualified" for the nomination, and uncertainty over whether Kansas's two GOP senators would waive their veto power over his nomination. Biden and Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Dick Durbin have had significant success filling open judgeships, but federal district courts have proven more challenging.
