Columbo Legend's Daughter Dies by Suicide at 60
Jacqueline Falk, 60, daughter of late Columbo star Peter Falk, died by suicide (hanging) at a Los Angeles home, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. Peter Falk died in 2011 after battling dementia; Jacqueline and her sister Catherine were adopted by him. The Catherine Falk Organization notes a decline in contact with his daughters as his health deteriorated amid conservatorship disputes, and People Magazine said Jacqueline led a private life away from show business. It was not disclosed whether a farewell note was left.
