Pro Football Hall of Fame Overhauls Voting System to Eliminate Seniors Category and Reduce Committee Size
The Pro Football Hall of Fame has announced major changes to its selection process, effective for the Class of 2027, following the exclusion of Bill Belichick from the 2026 class. Key reforms include eliminating the separate seniors category, reducing the selection committee from 50 to 28 members, and removing the requirement for each NFL team to have a dedicated representative. These changes aim to address perceived biases and ensure a more merit-based evaluation of candidates.
