Sir Jim Ratcliffe's management style at Manchester United is under scrutiny as his decisions, including the hiring and quick dismissal of sporting director Dan Ashworth, reflect a pattern of ruthless but potentially misguided ambition. Ratcliffe, seeking a more dynamic approach, was dissatisfied with Ashworth's performance, leading to his departure. The club now faces uncertainty in filling the role amid ongoing cost-cutting measures.
