Joey Chestnut Receives Probation in Westfield Slap Case
Competitive eater Joey Chestnut pleaded guilty to two counts of battery for slapping a man at Joe's Grille in Westfield, Indiana, and was sentenced to 180 days of probation. The incident, captured on video and dating to March, involved Chestnut’s interaction with a patron who approached him; Chestnut later acknowledged the incident and said it did not look nice. He remains on probation during this year’s Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.
