Buccaneers Lose Key Rookie Defenders Bain and Trotter for Vikings Clash
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will start without two rookie defensive starters, Rueben Bain Jr. and Josiah Trotter, in their Week 3 game against the Minnesota Vikings. Head coach Todd Bowles confirmed on Friday that Bain is out with a groin injury and Trotter is out with a shoulder injury. This loss significantly impacts the defense, as Trotter had already recorded 24 tackles, a sack, and an interception return for a touchdown in the first two games. Bain, a first-round pick, has only recorded one tackle through two games. The Buccaneers are currently 0-2 and have lost nine of their last 11 games. SirVocea Dennis and Christian Rozeboom will replace the injured players. Cornerback Jacob Parrish is expected to return to the lineup after missing the previous week's game against Cleveland.
