Two unidentified Black girls, ages roughly 8–13 and 10–14, were found dead in suitcases buried in shallow graves on Cleveland’s east side. Authorities have no identified suspects or cause of death and are seeking tips from the public to advance the investigation.

A new FBI report reveals that 10% of reported hate crimes in 2022 occurred at schools or college campuses, with over 30% of juvenile victims targeted at school. The most common bias type of reported hate crime offenses at schools was Anti-Black or African American. The report also highlights that reported incidents of hate crimes in 2022 rose to 11,634, the highest number recorded since the FBI started tracking data in 1991.
