Verlander Retires After 22 Seasons, Saluting Kate Upton in Farewell
Justin Verlander announced he will retire after this season, capping a 22-year MLB career that includes a 2011 AL MVP, three Cy Young Awards, two World Series titles and three no-hitters. He’s currently eighth on the all-time strikeout list and earned a 10th All-Star selection as a Legend Pick, while injuries limited this season; the announcement also gave a nod to wife Kate Upton.
