She cited a past incident where Consuelos dressed her in a green leotard, soccer pants, and high heels for an emergency room visit as the reason for this strict division of labor. Ripa confirmed that Consuelos’s role will be limited to attending and delivering a eulogy, while Gelman will ensure all other logistical requests are met. This announcement follows Consuelos’s recent major toe surgery for arthritis, which Ripa accompanied him to undergo in September.
