Spotify Rolls Out Free Kids Accounts and In-App AI Assistant for Premium Users
Spotify announced two new features: a free managed account for kids 13 and under for all Premium subscribers, allowing kids to listen and create playlists without muddying parents’ recommendations; and Talk to Spotify, an in-app AI chatbot in beta for Premium users (18+) that can be voice- or text-controlled to play music, discover tracks, manage playlists, and get podcast/audiobook context, with rollout in the US, Ireland, and Sweden on iOS and Android.
