25-Ton Second Temple Era Ritual Bath Lifted from Kiryat Gat
A massive, 2,000-year-old Jewish ritual bath (mikveh) dating to the Second Temple period has been successfully extracted from Kiryat Gat, Israel. The 25-ton structure, removed intact via crane in September, provides evidence of a previously unknown settlement from the era of Jesus Christ. The find includes stone measuring vessels and is expected to be integrated into a new public space in the neighborhood. Author Dinesh D'Souza highlighted the discovery as significant evidence for the historicity of the biblical world.
