The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has launched a pilot program called 'Gateside by TSA PreCheck,' allowing eligible trusted travelers to enter secure post-security areas at 13 U.S. airports without a plane ticket. This initiative enables individuals to meet others at the gate or spend time during layovers. Access is restricted to TSA PreCheck members or those with a Known Traveler Number and requires advance application through a dedicated portal. The program is currently in a testing phase, with plans for broader expansion if successful.
