Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey features a brutal Laestrygonian assault on Odysseus and his crew, filmed with forced-perspective tricks, wirework and seven IMAX cameras to maximize disorientation; Nolan says the giants’ weapons and armor are unlike anything Odysseus has seen and the sequence tests his leadership, leaving the crew shaken as the film heads toward its July 17, 2026 release.
