Nolan Aims for the Most Extreme Odyssey Yet
Christopher Nolan says his adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey is the most extreme version he could make, aiming to immerse viewers in the epic by writing and directing from inside the story and even placing audiences on Odysseus’s ship and in the Trojan horse; he shot about 2 million feet of IMAX film and planned to do the entire production in IMAX, with a CBS News 60 Minutes interview highlighting the project’s ambition as The Odyssey hits theaters July 17.
