Irvine McLaren Crash Claims Life of South OC Cars & Coffee Co-Founder
James Wehr, 27, co-founder of South Orange County Cars and Coffee, and 22-year-old Alexis “Lexi” Kramer were killed when a 2019 McLaren they were in reportedly accelerated after a green light on Culver Drive in Irvine, lost control, struck a curb and tree, split in two and caught fire. It remains unclear who was driving. Wehr’s family announced his death on Instagram; he was a prominent car-enthusiast who organized the weekly event and worked with brands like 1016 Industries and VF Engineering. Irvine Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation team is investigating the crash.
