
Instagram Trials TV-Style Longform Episodic Content
Instagram is testing a TV-style, horizontal video experience on Instagram for TV (starting with Samsung devices) and will experiment with longer-form, episodic storytelling and live creator experiences, plus enabling TV viewing of Stories and casting reels. The move widens Instagram’s reach into traditional television formats to attract more TV viewers and give creators new serialized storytelling opportunities, amid competition from YouTube and TikTok for screen time.
