Pope Leo XIV's Brother Louis Prevost Enters Cancer Clinical Trial Amid Pontiff's Lung Diagnosis
Pope Leo XIV's older brother, Louis Prevost, is currently undergoing a clinical trial for multiple myeloma, his wife told CBS News. This development follows the Vatican's announcement that the 71-year-old pontiff was diagnosed with lung cancer after surgery to remove part of his right lung. While the Vatican withheld details on the pope's cancer stage, Louis's wife, Deborah Prevost, indicated her husband's condition had recently worsened after years of remission. The family is supporting both brothers through their respective medical treatments.
