
Mom of three battles advanced ovarian cancer after doctors dismissed her symptoms as a hernia
A mother of three endured years of dismissed symptoms before a female doctor finally recognised something was wrong and diagnosed Stage 4b low-grade serous ovarian cancer (LGSOC). She underwent extensive surgery and chemotherapy, later achieving remission and now campaigns to raise awareness of LGSOC and the dangers of dismissing women's health concerns, particularly around World Ovarian Cancer Day.
